TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, September 30, through Saturday, October 5, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., there will be three traffic control packages facilitating alternating one-way traffic on VT 15, from just east of VT 100C to Sunny Acres Road.
Crews will work outside the roadway on VT 15 within the Village of Johnson, from just east of VT 100C to Park Street, during the peak hours of 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Anticipated Driveway Impacts: From Wednesday through Saturday, properties on VT 15, from just east of VT 100C to Park Street, will experience temporary 30-minute interruptions to driveway access for the paving of driveway aprons. Residents and businesses affected by these short interruptions are encouraged to use alternative on-street parking on VT 15 if they need to leave during this time. If access is required during an interruption, residents and businesses should contact on-site crew members for assistance. Crews will maintain access for emergency services by paving driveways in halves or maintaining a secondary entrance.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: On Monday, crews are anticipated to finish paving the final wearing course of asphalt on VT 15 within the Village of Johnson limits, from just east of VT 100C to just east of Park Street. Starting mid-week, crews will hand-pave driveway aprons along VT 15 within the village limits.
Additionally, on Monday, crews are anticipated to begin paving the intermediate course of asphalt along the eight-mile stretch of VT 15, starting near Park Street in Johnson and progressing west throughout the week. This paving operation will continue for several weeks until crews reach the VT 15/VT 108 roundabout in Cambridge. All paving operations are weather-dependent.
Crews will continue berm removal and hydroseeding along VT 15, starting just west of Evergreen Ledge Cemetery in Johnson and continuing west.

From Monday, September 16, through Saturday, September 21, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., there will be two traffic control packages facilitating alternating one-way traffic on VT 15, from just east of VT 100C to Park Street within the Village of Johnson and near Laraway Youth and Family Services, moving westward as the week progresses.

Independent utility work alert: From Wednesday, September 18, through Saturday, September 21, Consolidated Communications will install fiber optic cable along VT 15, between the VT 15/VT 108 junction in Cambridge and the Cambridge/Johnson town line near Hunt Farm Drive. This will require alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. This work is not part of the Cambridge-Johnson VT 15 Resurfacing Project.

Crews will also conduct fine-grading along this section of VT 15 throughout the week. From Thursday through Saturday, weather permitting, crews will establish the base layer of pavement by applying cold mix asphalt along this four-mile stretch of VT 15.

 From Monday, August 19, through Friday, August 23, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., motorists should anticipate three traffic control packages facilitating alternating one-way traffic on VT 15 throughout the project limits, from just east of VT 100C in the Village of Johnson to the VT 15/ VT108 junction in Cambridge.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and exercise caution while traveling within the project area. Delays along VT 15 are expected, please plan for additional travel time along this route.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: On Saturday, crews plan to conduct fine-grading and finish paving the cold-mix base course of asphalt on VT 15 between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and extending west to Hubbard Drive. From Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., motorists should anticipate up to four traffic control packages facilitating alternating one-way traffic on VT 15 throughout the project limits, from just east of VT 100C in the Village of Johnson to the VT 15/ VT108 junction in Cambridge.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and exercise caution while traveling within the project area. Delays along VT 15 are expected, please plan for additional travel time along this route.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: On Saturday, crews may be working to restore roadway conditions on VT 15 throughout the project limits following the predicted inclement weather. Crews will also resume reclaiming the roadway, starting near Hubbard Drive and moving west.

Next week, reclaim work will shift to the second four-mile stretch of VT 15 between Hubbard Drive and the VT 15/ VT108 junction in Cambridge. Moving west, crews will be fine grading and reclaiming this section of roadway. Concurrently, they will also work on improving the drainage infrastructure at multiple locations along VT 15 in Cambridge.

Paving on the first four-mile stretch of VT 15, from just outside of the Village of Johnson limits near Park Street through Hubbard Drive is scheduled to begin on Monday and continue throughout the week. Crews will apply cold-mix asphalt to the roadway to create the base course of pavement. Paving operations are weather-dependent. In case of adverse weather conditions, crews will shift to milling driveways along VT 15 within the Village of Johnson limits.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: June 7, crews will continue to lower structures along VT 15 in the Village of Johnson, with completion anticipated by Monday.

Early next week, crews will conduct exploratory digging along VT 15 in Cambridge near Nye’s Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast.

Throughout the week, crews will continue ledge and rock removal on VT 15 near the Bed and Breakfast and move west. Crews will complete the installation of underdrain, starting near the VT 15/ VT108 junction in Cambridge before moving mid-week to the section of VT 15 near the Bed and Breakfast for completion.

On Friday, crews will begin milling the roadway on VT 15 within the Village of Johnson. During peak commuting hours (6 - 8 a.m. and 4 - 6 p.m.), crews will be off-site within the village limits.

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., motorists can expect up to three traffic control packages on Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) in Cambridge and Johnson. There will be alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers within the project limits from the VT 15/ VT108 junction in Cambridge to just east of the VT 100C intersection in the Village of Johnson.

On Monday, June 3, during daytime hours, the Village of Johnson will be working on VT 15, which is expected to impact traffic. This work is independent of the Cambridge-Johnson VT 15 Resurfacing Project.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and exercise caution while traveling within the project area. Expect traffic delays and plan extra time for travel.

Starting near Timshel Drive in Cambridge, crews will install underdrain along VT 15 and continue westward. In Johnson, crews will focus on rock removal along VT 15.

Throughout the week, slope work will be conducted along VT 15. The crews will start at Hunt Farm Drive, located near the town line between Cambridge and Johnson, and move west.

Beginning mid-week, crews will conduct drainage and rock removal work in Johnson, starting just east of Park Street and continuing west.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting this spring, the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) will begin work to replace seven culverts in Cambridge and Johnson as part of separate projects to improve the roadway infrastructure.

This week, VTrans District #8 will be continuing work to replace a culvert on Vermont Route 15 by the Johnson Farm and Garden Store. The project teams are working in close coordination to minimize impacts to traffic throughout the area.
