Elderly and Disabled (E&D) Transportation Program

LCPC partners with Northern Vermont Development Association (NVDA) to coordinate the Lamoille/North East Kingdom Elderly and Disabled Transportation Partners Committee that strives to coordinate E&D transportation services.

This transportation program provides funding for transport of persons age 60 or over, and/or persons with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Lamoille and Northeast Kingdom Elderly and Disabled Persons (E&D) Transportation Program Advisory Committee assists with the coordination and cooperation of E&D transportation services. The group meets on a quarterly basis or as needed.

The E&D Transportation Advisory Committee is comprised of Regional Planning Commissions (LCPC and NVDA), the Vermont Agency of Transportation, and human service agencies and transit providers: Rural Community Transit, Vocational Rehabilitation, Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA), Meals on Wheels, Lamoille County Mental Health, Out and About Adult Day Center, Northeast Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA) and Area Agency on Aging (NEVAAA).
