Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

The Lamoille County Planning Commission (LCPC) supports regional municipalities, partners, and the Vermont Agency of Transportation in collective efforts to develop and manage the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT). The LVRT is an unmatched 93-mile mixed-use recreational resource. VTrans is the designated state agency in charge of operations and maintenance of this regional asset. They have asked each Regional Planning Commission through which the LVRT passes to help organize interested community members to provide input and assistance with their section of the trail.

Visit the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail Website for:

  • An interactive map of the trail & map of trail friendly businesses
  • Trail updates and closures
  • Info on where to park

The LVRT passes through Cambridge/Jeffersonville, Johnson, Hyde Park, Morrisville, and Wolcott (west to east) in Lamoille County. There are trailheads and facilities in each community, several of which were developed and funded by Northern Borders grant funding, with support from LCPC.
